Terms of service

These terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Versity Life Co-Ltd (“we”), which runs BoostHive. By creating an account or using BoostHive you accept them. If you use it for an organisation, you accept them for that organisation and confirm you may do so. How we handle personal data is explained in the privacy policy.

The service

BoostHive is a workspace for planning, publishing and measuring social media posts. You connect your accounts on the networks it supports, write and schedule posts, and BoostHive publishes them, gathers their statistics, builds reports, and, on plans that include it, brings comments and messages into one inbox.

Your account

• You must be at least 16 and old enough to accept a contract where you live, and give us true details.
• Keep your sign-in to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account; turning on two-factor sign-in is strongly recommended.
• Tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.

Workspaces and teams

• Everything in BoostHive lives in a workspace. A workspace belongs to the organisation it was made for, and its owners act for it: they choose the plan, pay for it, invite people and set their roles.
• The primary owner holds the workspace. They can hand it to another owner; a workspace always keeps at least one owner.
• What members create in a workspace belongs to the workspace, and stays there when a member leaves.
• Agencies may run workspaces for their clients. You are responsible for having your clients' permission to manage their accounts.

Connecting social networks

• Only connect accounts you own or are authorised to manage.
• Each network's own rules apply to what you publish through BoostHive, in addition to these terms.
• Networks can change, limit or withdraw their features, prices and access at any time. When they do, parts of BoostHive may stop working for that network, and we can't be held responsible for it.

The networks' rules: Meta Community Standards, YouTube Terms of Service, TikTok Terms of Service, X Terms of Service, LinkedIn User Agreement, Bluesky Terms of Service, Telegram Terms of Service and WhatsApp Business Policy.

Your content

• You keep all rights to what you upload and write. You allow us to store it, process it (for example to resize an image or build a report) and send it to the networks and people you choose, only to run the service for you.
• You are responsible for your content: you must have the rights to it, and it must be lawful and follow the rules of the network it goes to.
• We may remove content, or suspend an account, that breaks these terms or the law, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

Acceptable use

Don't use BoostHive to:

• send spam or unsolicited messages, including WhatsApp messages to people who haven't agreed to receive them;
• fake engagement, run networks of fake or automated accounts, or mislead people about who you are;
• publish anything illegal, hateful, harassing, or that infringes someone else's rights;
• get around a network's limits or rules, or BoostHive's own plan limits;
• try to reach other customers' data, probe or overload the service, copy it, or resell it without our written agreement.

Plans and payments

• The Free plan costs nothing and has no time limit. Starter, Pro and Agency add brands, accounts, people, posts and tools; what each includes and costs is on the pricing page.
• You pay in advance for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months; longer periods cost less per month. Prices are shown in your local currency, and a workspace keeps the currency of its first payment.
• The amount shown when you pay is the amount charged: we don't add fees on top.
• Payments are taken by our providers (Stripe, Flutterwave, pawaPay, VersityLife Payments) by card or Mobile Money. The plan switches on as soon as the payment is confirmed.
• Moving up to a bigger plan before the end of a period gives credit for the unused part of the current one. Moving down takes effect once the current period is over.

Renewals

• Cards: if you choose automatic renewal, your card is charged for the same plan and length at the end of each period until you turn renewal off. Turning it off stops it at the end of the period already paid.
• Mobile Money is never taken automatically. We remind you by email 7, 3 and 1 days before the end of the period, and you renew in a tap.
• If a period ends unpaid, the plan keeps working for 7 more days. After that the workspace falls back to the Free plan's limits. Nothing is deleted.

Refunds

Payments cover a period, a pack or credits already made available, so they are not refunded for time or credits left unused, except where the law gives you a right to a refund. If you were charged twice or by mistake, write to hello@getboosthive.com and we will refund it.

Storage packs

A storage pack adds 10, 50 or 200 GB to the workspace for 12 months from payment. When it ends, files already stored stay, but new uploads above the plan's own storage are refused until you renew or free space.

X credits

X charges apps for every post, so posting to X uses credits: one per post, fifteen for a post with a link. Pro and Agency include credits each month, which don't carry over to the next month. Credit packs of 100, 500 or 2,000 are valid for 12 months. If X changes what it charges, the number of credits a post uses may change, and we will tell you before it does.

Invite friends

A friend who signs up with your invite link gets 20% off their first plan payment. Once they pay, your workspace gets one free month, up to 12 a year. The reward has no cash value.

AI assistants

If you connect an AI assistant to a workspace, it acts for you with your role's rights. You are responsible for what you ask it to do and for checking what it posts. The assistant's provider has its own terms.

Availability

• We work to keep BoostHive running and to publish every post on time, but we can't promise it will always be available or that every post will go out: publishing depends on the networks. When a post fails, we tell you.
• We may change, improve or remove features. If we plan to stop the service altogether, we will tell you at least 30 days before so you can take your content out.

Ending

• You can stop at any time and delete your account from your profile; the data deletion page explains what is removed.
• We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or leaves a bill unpaid, after warning you when we reasonably can.
• Time left on a paid plan is not refunded when an account is closed for breaking these terms.

Liability

• BoostHive is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we give no promise beyond those in these terms.
• To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost sales, profit, reputation or data, including because a post did or didn't go out.
• Our total liability for any claim is limited to what your workspace paid us in the 12 months before it.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or your rights as a consumer.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon. Before going to court, tell us about the problem and we will try to settle it with you within 30 days. Otherwise the competent courts of Cameroon decide, unless the law where you live gives you the right to go to your own courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app and by email at least 30 days before it applies. If you don't agree, you can stop using BoostHive before then.
